This. I said at the time that he would find it almost impossible to return to management after suing wet spam. He may well have been right and he did win the court battle but eight years on and he is still out in the wilderness

Apart from turning down offers from Ipswich, Bolton and Wolves

Yeah, you are probably right. I took it from the Daily Express and they have a strong track record of making any old crap up

To be fair he was one of the best young up and coming managers in England at the time and was even interviewed for the England job. I think it's sad really that he's been out for so long. Probably the second best manager in our history
I'm a Melbourne Victory fan and go regularly to the games, I love the A League, City with Cahill and Fornaroli have some excellent players for this division. He would sort them out and would make the League more competitive.
I don't like the idea of him managing "them" as the A League are desperate for the optics of Tim Cahill lifting the trophy, Alan Curbishley would make that considerably more likely in my humble opinion.

Didnt he say a few months ago that he was set to join a club yet the un-named club (My opinion is that it was Wolves) did a U-turn and decided to hire someone else

The Wolves job was to be till the end of the season where they were already doomed to relegation, He wanted a proper contract
"I go over there when I can. I was there recently when Lee Bowyer took over because he’s one of my ex-players. It’s nice to go back to the club but it’s not nice to go back and see the stadium a third full, or not even that. That’s a bit demoralising but hopefully they can get themselves back on track. They’ve got a Premier League stadium and a lovely training ground and a good fan base, so hopefully things can pick up again.”

Hasn't seen the training facilities lately then...
Looking for away back into football maybe........Lets not forget he said his farewell to the fans at The Valley against Blackburn Rovers way back in April 2006........no smoke without fire.
He's only got himself to blame. He said in the article that he didn't want to take on a relegation threatened side or a club not in the Premiership - who does he think he is, Pep or Klopp ?? Look at Dyche, Houghton or Howe. They're not managing top sides & they are the "new breed" of manager. He should have jumped straight back in after the W Ham court case.......he who dares & all that.
