I'm 41 and suffer the same. I started taking 1000mg a day of cod liver oil a few years ago and my knees are so much better. I haven't found any miracle back cures though.

I'm nearer 61 and started using Propolus, fantastic bit of gear all natural bees extract or something like that. ;)

Touch wood, not had back problems but agree the cod liver oil works generally for joints

Have a few close friends who have had back issues that have been sorted and they variously ascribe this to chiropractor, Pilates, yoga, and drugs.

I've just looked at the uses of Propolus (Propolis?) a bit closer. I'm not sure I'll be ditching the cod liver oil for it but I'm looking forward to seeing what it does for my genital herpes

Well my mum has bad knees so as kids she has us all on cod liver oil to help the joints as they grow. Clearly did sod all as 3/4 kids have dodged knees. Think it's more to do with the amount of sport we play. Mine first went when I was playing cricket too regularly all year round.

If I was a 21 year old I'd give the drug route a serious crack.

I'll give these a go. Cheers. They have improved as I no longer play/train cricket 3 or 4 times a week as I did a couple of years ago. I still get some serious pain if I do a lot of sport over a few days. Its more about not overdoing it.
