USB problem

edited October 2016 in Not Sports Related
Hopefully someone knows how to do this because its doing my head in...........
We have two USB memory sticks with video of a helicopter flight over Sydney, while it plays when plugged into the back of the TV it doesn't on my MAC and @cabbles is desperate to see some more holiday photos. ;) Is it a different system over there or is there something else Im doing wrong?

  • Probably the format of the video Ray. I have a similar problem producing videos to play on PC's as opposed to Ipads.

Might work if you can convert it to .mp4

  • If you have a mac there are app's you can download that convert them over. I had the same with my GoPro footage. .MP4 is what you want

  • Download VLC media player, if that can't play it, nothing will.
  • Your right Falange is broken mate.

Have you tried decompressing the tangent files? I'm thinking the influx could be impacting the data nuggets.

Loosening your pants can help the nuggets :-)
  • The poxy thing doesn't even know they are plugged in! :(
  • Have you done the El Capitan upgrade?
  • I might be able to help Ray. How specialist are the holiday photos?

You could reset the SMC. It's a bollock ache to explain how to do it. But........

If it's not picking it up on the Mac it's because the memory stick itself is in the FAT32 storage format which is PC only, not Mac. Macs can't read that format.
