You're probs getting confused with sanupe who we had on trial pre season. He'd just been released by spurs..

Or Garth Crooks who played for us nearly 30 years ago.
    Or Chris Jones.
I forgot he played for us. Must of been about 1983.
Paul Miller, he of '88 Chelsea away fame.
I liked Maxi. Shame his career with us ended up the way it did.

Martin Robinson is another from the late 70's / early 80's that joined us from Spurs.
    Gerry Doherty.
  • Alan Mullery as manager.
  • John Hendry was on loan from Spurs. Never played at The Valley as we were ground-sharing Upton Park at the time. Fondly remembered for scoring the only goal of the game against Millwall. A rare 'home' win against the spanners.

    Who?
  • "Big fat Peter Garland".
  • Peter Guthrie

    Steve Archibald.
  • Terry Naylor also?

  • Don't understand why he doesn't start - was excellent today and at least passes to a red shirt.

Did well today. One peach of a cross that Ajose really should have buried. Offered more than Lookman has in the last couple of games.

he should be given a start .. Slade persist with Lookman a talented but still lightweight child in many ways .. Botaka will bring some pace and much needed excitement to a pretty pedestrian and boring attack

Botaka's work keeping the ball in down by the corner flag towards the end of the game showed, as did his other runs and passes, that he is a decent talent.
  • I'd keep lookman in ahead of him

I have been saying for a while, Botaka and Homes on the wings, Lookman up front with Mag.

Not that you've taken a short term view or anything.
