On a serious note, hats off to QPR. My sons team has an Iran lad from the camps playing for his team. Lovely lad who learnt to play in the camp. Had only played 3 games in his life and is really starting to impress. Football is really helping him in being accepted and getting communication going. Must be so hard for him. Slim hope, but I hope those that have survived and got here have a sympathetic welcome.

I know that refugees seem to have been reduced to political talking points (in both the US and the UK), but this is such a stark reminder that most of these are just scared kids trying to get to whatever family they have left.
