If you check on the link below,you find that buses replace trains between Bolton & Horwich Parkway or Preston/Wigan.Bill_Stumps said:Thanks Elfsborg. I've looked it up on nationalrail.co.uk and there's no mention of engineering works. In fact it says "there are currently no reported service disruptions" for Saturday. Am I living in a parallel universe?

Thanks both. I should have looked at the timetable more closely. I've spoken to National Rail who advised that there will be a normal train service to Bolton, then 20 minute bus service to Horwich Parkway.0
