If you check on the link below,you find that buses replace trains between Bolton & Horwich Parkway or Preston/Wigan.

Thanks both. I should have looked at the timetable more closely. I've spoken to National Rail who advised that there will be a normal train service to Bolton, then 20 minute bus service to Horwich Parkway.
