Lets assume, give him the benefit of the doubt, Roland has many many businesses and is so overflowed by the workload, he unfortunately does not have that much time available to always check up on Charlton. He has to prioritize. Your still a knob, but ok.
1. Why purchase a business that you inevitably would not have much specific time for?
2. Ok, so you don't have the available time to put the hours in yourself.
Best not put someone in charge that doesn't have a brain cell then.
Best put someone in charge that actually has relevant experience then.
If your not going to be involved in almost every single way, then the people you put in charge, you better make sure they are dam good.
It's your fault.
Your are as rich as you are irresponsible and negligent.
You trust people on a personal basis. Not a professional basis.

I find this post nearly as condescending as Roland's old tripe. Nothing whatsoever is lost in translation, he has already given his opinion on football fans and his actions to date show the regard in which he holds us so why would he be implying anything different? My son has been going to Charlton for two years and knows nothing but misery and the blame for that lays squarely at that tosser's door so please don't try to tell us that he or his words are not as bad as we think.....

I took it to mean "actor" in the sense of an unknown party. i.e "if there was a malicious actor, they could potentially fuck things up", or as in Litvinenko's last correspondence prior to his poisoning - "there are dark actors at work, conspiring in the background".
He's a business man, he probably talks about unknown parties like that often. I know I've read technical reports that do.
It's not possible to defend the rather damning sentiment behind the words though: Charlton is not worth his time nor energy, Katrien is there as a substitute, and the protesters have no substance behind their fight.4 -

Instead of "Roland's statement"
Roland's statement indicates that he actually explains why the manager was sacked and that he gives a toss about Charlton and that he wants to explain why the club is run so badly and that he feels at least a bit responsible, embarrassed about it.
The text means he wants to throw Meire under the bus and run away from it.
She's already done that herself....probably about a thousand times.

Presumably the money Murray has tied up in the club will either get paid out by a new owner on purchase or will stay on the books? That being the case Murray is free to say what he flipping likes. Being former Chairman does mean he will be mindful about what he says (particularly if it relates to his time in the role) but it doesn't mean he can't criticise things that pertain to the period since he stepped down.
Having said that we probably can't read much into what is said or not said. We really have no idea what he is saying behind the scenes and he could well be giving Katrien some sage advice (go now, you don't know what you're doing and you'll never convince a colleague let alone a fan that you have a clue about football) or he could be saying the opposite.
However if he launched a torpedo and heard it hit the hull, the ship would probably go down. And we need to have lifeboats to hand to ensure that not everyone gets a watery grave.1 -
