I would say he needs serious help and should be banned from gambling, not just getting banned from football. On average, that is over 400 bets per month!!clive said:Former Cheltenham, Shrewsbury and Exeter striker Ryan Bowman has been banned for three-and-a-half years by the Football Association for placing 6,397 bets over an eight year period.
The 33-year-old, who was released by Cheltenham this summer, admitted all of the charges.
It was alleged he had made a bet from the substitutes bench on a game between Shrewsbury and MK Dons which was already under way in January 2023, something he denied.
Bowman placed almost 2,600 bets from December 2020 until July 2021 while he was at Exeter and another 3,100 between August 2021 and July 2023 while playing for Shrewsbury.

There's a word for the kind of society our Steve must think we live in, but I can't, for the life of me, remember what it is....Chris_from_Sidcup said:Joey Barton - 44 bets - 1 match ban Ian Black - 160 bets - 10 match ban Steve Lawless - 513 bets - 6 match ban Random non league manager - 97 bets - THREE YEAR ban Surely the 3 year ban is a bit harsh? http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/380581650 -
