I have done what the web page says (see link from Clive) refreshed page but SU fixture does not appear.
  • Seems a bit OTT, how many walk ups are there likely to be from Sheffield?

Even if a handful of away fans did tip up on the day, stick them in the nearest block to the away end in the east or west. They're not Millwall.

Sheff Utd have always had an element - they'll be bringing plenty down for a weekend in the Big Smoke as well as London-based Blades - and people on here will be the first ones moaning if any of their more lively followers got in the Covered End and made their presence known.

Before the 1-0 win in the promotion season a few made their way around the back of the Covered End, started up a Yorkshire chant and one ended up on the floor after an old CAFC boy intervened so this is a sensible move by the club.

As others have said - there's plenty to have a pop at the SMT about but this isn't one of them and some people are making themselves look petty trying to make mountains out of molehills on every single issue to do with the club.

I haven't looked but recall that sometimes the away match tab comes up first. Did that happen to you maybe?

Sounds like a cunning way to force people to pay the Kat-tax. Okay no worries we'll spend our money elsewhere again...

Has this actually been charged this year?

Are tickets still available on the day? Just have to give details at the ticket office?
  • I have just bought one online. You need to refresh your login and then refresh the page to bring up the Sheff Utd match.

There is clearly still a demand from Sheffield United fans for tickets, even though they have sold out, I would imagine the clubs have spoken to each other about this and decided it was best. Sheffield United would have a fairy large London based supporters club.
They may not be Millwall, but they still have a large hoolie element, if it kicked off in home areas due to tickets being available without restriction to anyone, then this forum would explode with indignation at the regime and asking why they were not restricted.

This is standard practise for a high category game against a club with a large away following, move on, nothing to see.
Yeah, but I've supported Charlton since 1906 and never bothered to get a Red Card.

I don't have a phone and now those Belgians have even removed all the telephone boxes where I live.

What am I supposed to do ?

You have to ask for Bournemouth fans permission first.

    Sigh.

No it doesn't, it's a "cunning plan" to stop Sheffield United fans from buying tickets in the home areas of the ground.

Personally I'd stick them in East Stand Block A The Valley, no one sits there anymore and it's what we used to segregate for FA cup games
    Fixed it for you

  • When Stockport were either league two or one a few years back before their demise, they had more fans than home on about 5 or 6 occasions in one season.

Didn't Leicester have more than us at Upton Park in about 1992?

Yes, April 1992. The official attendance, at 15,357 per Colin Cameron's "Home and Away" book, was easily the biggest "home" gate of the season. The average at Upton park that year was 6,786 and the next biggest league gate was against Newcastle at 9,320. A rare victory against Millwall was only witnessed by 8,167.

I remember the away contingent was supposedly 9000. Was pretty scary watching them coming down the chicken run.
