Every time a company does something nice it's called cynical marketing or PR. I'm sure the guy was going to reply whether or not his PR team thought they could use it. He's probably got kids himself. Not everybody in a corporation is a robot from the void

Yeah. That’s why I said “Fair play to the guy” and “Still, pretty nice anyway.” While also pointing out that the cynical marketing element was instigated by Qantas, as opposed to Alan Joyce. But apart from that, yeah.
