Not mentioned in the article but the reason was Duisburg scored but the goal was ruled out. The Duisburg keeper didn't know it was ruled out so was expecting the game to reset and kick off again. Instead the Ingolstadt keeper took a quick free kick and got the game going.

He was going for his water but he also didn't think the ball was in play. He didn't just decide that when the opposition were attacking was the best time for a drink.
