Just back from The O2 and Richard Ashcroft. Stunning. Absolutely loved it and great support from The Royston Club too.

Tel! I didn’t see your post.

Wasn’t he just brilliant! I don’t think my video is posting properly. Absolutely loved it tonight.

I went to see the Manic Street Preachers at the Royal Albert Hall on Thursday - never seen them before and have also never been to the RAH before. Both absolutely excellent!

Did you see Joy Formidable, who were supporting? Seen them several times.

Hi B. Seen him so many times with The Verve and solo and he’s never disappointed. A fantastic trip to Prague, despite the result, and then back for this. Best way to end the week. So, so good.

P.S. I don’t think videos have worked on here for quite a while. Used to be able to post up stuff from gigs & then that seemed to just stop.

For those of you that care we’ve just booked our annual trip to see the Wonder Stuff the December. Brixton Academy this year. Back to the first place I saw them in the early 90 s.

Also got tickets for Flaming Lips and the Beta Band in Dreamland this summer. Cam’t wait.

No, was running late. Never heard of them to be honest.

I had tickets for this but had to sell them back to AXS. I assumed either my wife or daughter would come but I hadn't realised they were out all day and no-one else I knew fancied it.

He is a fantastic live singer but does always make me feel a bit melancholy for the 90’s. I’ve only seen him a handful of times now but given I saw him play Dreamland two summers ago he sure is back in the limelight after last years tour. Deservedly so.

Stepdaughter lives next to the Victorious festival so think I’ll head there for the bank holiday.

Will be at victorious (my 10th). Great festival for families and Ashcroft will do well there.

Saw New Shapes Downstairs at the Dome last week.

Felt really sorry for them. They were driving down from Scotland and their van broke down in Sheffield, the replacement then broke down on the way to them!

Upshot was they had to bundle into a mates car and leave a bit of kit behind.

They arrived 10 mins before they were due to play and finally came on 40mins late. Due to the transport issues they were relying on a MacBook rather than their usual synth pedals.

2 songs in the MacBook packed up! They managed 8 songs in the end and were really good when they could actually play.

    Character building if nothing else.

I was lucky enough to see The Verve at a charity gig they did for Shelter at Brixton Academy.  Urban Hymns had really taken off and that night is still one of my favourite ever gigs.  He’s got a brilliant catalogue and is just a great frontman, you always get a great show whether he’s with a band or just him and his guitar.

The new album, Lovin’ You, is another cracker and I hadn’t spotted that he’d put out a live album as well. @PragueAddick dropped me a note with a link to it yesterday after I mentioned the gig when we met up on Wednesday.

Ah @DaveMehmet that’s a real shame mate. My niece came with me and we ended up with a spare as nephew blew it out at last minute. I’d be tempted to just go on my own these days. There’s plenty of strange people out there who’ll chat to you while you’re there 😉. Maybe we need a new thread for “who wants to go to this gig?”

Good to hear you and @Curb_It enjoyed a great concert. I doubt I’ll ever get to see him live, even Prague’s legendary indie station - which introduced me to the Verve - doesnt play his stuff.

Just seen Suzi Quatro at The Palladium.  As a young teen in the 70s I loved her singles but I have
never seen her live before.  Have to say she was fantastic! A great entertainer who still rocks. Played bass, piano, and a bit of drums too. Had a great band and singers with her. 62 years in the industry and still going strong. Told a few stories too, and doesn't stop smiling. Enjoyed that!

Drove past her massive house in Essex recently.  Built a recording studio there too. Obviously very impressive.

    James at the O2 tonight.

Never been a massive fan, although have a couple of 7” Singles from the early 90s.
Really enjoyed it, some great songs with Tim Booth’s expressive voice, but veering off into less well known (for me) alternative stuff.
