Sorry to say

but I doubt there is a team in all four divisions who have a worse record over the last 20+years or so with their Boxing Day fixtures.
For some weird reason, known only to the gods, we are usually total shyte, as such I have little faith in a positive outcome tomorrow .....sorry folks!

We have won 25 out of 68 Boxing Day games, which is the 54th best record of the 84 teams who have played 15 or more games on 26 December.
  • Boxing Day 1999 went well, if I remember correctly.

Yeah, well I did that FIRST. Obviously.

Thanks for the stats Chizz.......though over the last 20 years or so (which I specifically referred to), I'll wager we're a lot worse statistically than the 68 Boxing Day games we have played in total indicate.

2009. Only a point but rarely has the covered end gone quite as mental as when the equaliser went in

Feels like so much more than seven years ago. Terrific fight back. Remember being absolutely furious at Burton for a crazy sending off then going absolutely mental when big Mig got the equaliser. Absolute workhorse display from Akpo Sodge. Shows how miserable things have become when you look back wistfully at this! Thought at the time it was about as low as we could go. Ho hum.
