Hi All I have been blown away by the lovely comments of this forum for my brother Sam. He loved CAFC, which started with my Grandad, onto my Dad and then my brother (sadly I am the odd one out as a Liverpool fan!). He didn't get to the games as much as he may have liked recently, but so often he mentioned to mum and dad or I about some of the items covered in the forum.
His memory will live on, he loved a bit of free speech - so he would love, in time, for you all to get back to what you do best and focus on CAFC and not him.
Never knew Sam, but used to contribute to the cricket threads.Seemed a lovely guy.
Even though i never knew Sam, this has affected me big time - shows how precious life is and how you should treasure every moment you have in this world.
I have been off for the Christmas period and only just read this, very very sad news. Never knew him personally but one of the posters on here that has always been highly respected and appreciated, came across as a top bloke and way to young. RIP @red_murph condolences to all that knew him x
Sam was the most beautiful of people. He was my best mate for 25 years, and we never once fell out. I can't even remember a cross word between us, and given I'm West Ham and he's an Addick, that's some going. He was my eldest boys Godson and was the best Godfather possible. Tommy played in goal for Charltons U13's a couple of times, and Ill never forget how proud it made Sam.
He was funny, kind, humble, and loved by everyone that ever met him. One of a kind, and the world is a poorer place without him.
Please sing loud and proud at each CAFC game, and give a little extra just for my mate. And an extra boo for your owners wouldn't go amiss either.

Have sent you a message mate, remember Sam coming down to watch us play for Farnborough together. Didn't realise it was Sam who posted on here until I read this thread earlier this week.
It is with much regret and pride I am reading this thread, regret that I am reading this at all, with Pride as Sam was my dear Nephew, I as well would like to thank you all for the wonderful tributes you have written, I myself went to my first game at the valley with Sam's dad Brian in 1958 at the age of 8 and apart from a break when I had my kids have been going since amazingly I did not get to go with Sam in that time, different watering holes apart from football Sam was a keen cricketer darts follower and angler as well as an amazing photographer, Sam's Dad, brother and family will be going to the match on Monday as will myself and my son Matt. Sam was married to Suze another wonderful and brave person who he loved dearly, God Bless R.I.P. our Sam

Showing last active yesterday and I'd hate to think someone would hack his account.
Could be family on one of his own devices but wanted to double check.
