I remember our last visit to the Withdean I could see to the other goal end from that section and athletics track but for parts of the game I couldn't see the home stands behind the opposite goal, athletics and section. I remember being concerned about the game while being on the seafront before. Being on the sea and South Downs I'm not that surprised that this game has fallen. Feel sorry for the travelling Cardiff fans because I know how frustrating losing an away game late to bad weather.

1-1 draw Jacko penalty if my memory serves me right.
Sam said in his book he thought we were well on top as he didn't see anyone at his end for ages...until a copper came through the fog to tell him everyone else was back in the dressing room:-)
I played a Sunday morning game where we kicked off late due to fog. After 10 minutes, the referee said that the fog had got worse, so he suspended play. 10 minutes later, it seemed no better, but the referee decided it had cleared a bit, so off we went again. There was a jokey atmosphere on the pitch as you really couldn't see a thing. 5 minutes later, the referee said it had got worse and suspended play again. As we all stood around, the referee went off to the pitch on his own to check it out yet again. We were standing around joking with the opposition about what a joker this referee was whereupon he suddenly appeared out of the fog and asked who had called him a 'complete joker' and who had laughed and said 'w***er'. The two players owned up and were promptly booked. He also threatened to report all players for laughing. The game was abandoned at 0-0.
Would like to see a game where attackers are congregating on the left wing because they won't be called offside because of fog. But then I probably wouldn't be able to see much anyway I suppose.

While this at Oxford continues....
Refunds for the fans, especially the traveling Fulham fans?
It seems that the decision was made at half time, but conditions then got better after the match was abnadoned!
