good knock from Dickson and good to see Cawley to his 1st first class 50. However doesn't bode well for a good test series when our reserve bowling attack gets them out for 265 and we pass that with only 4 wickets down.

I was there today. Two observations:
Windies look a team that will, indeed, be totally out of there depth when it comes to the Test series. Zac Crawley making his first class debut rarely looked in trouble and Dickson only got out because I think he got bored in the end. Get on 3-0 because, weather permitting, there will be no other result. Even with doubts about two of our top three.
Adam Ball - really do not know what has happened to him. As a teenager he was a precocious talent to the extent that he captained the England U19. He was a free flowing batsman and with his potential as a bowler was being lined up as Darren Stevens replacement. Today there was no intent. 37 balls and just 3 runs. Scoreboard pressure and the inevitable - he ran passed one. Feel really sorry for him because there is a cricketer in there but that inner belief isn't. And I'm not sure that he knows how or where to find it.

The test series will sadly be a non event, and be overwhelmed in the public eye by the return of the PL.
In normal years, the Windies would have been the warm up series in June, but the Champions Trophy had that slot instead.
I was at Canterbury yesterday and couldn't believe how ordinary The Windies were. They have been saved from defeat by the weather and the fact it was only a 3 day game. If England slip up against them, it will be down to incompetence. You
