CARD ANNOUNCEMENT: Unity Protest in Sint-Truiden on Saturday, March 4th - transport provided

Sorry, that's just nonsense that gets spouted in some quarters by people who would rather say it than examine the reasons. Here's a challenge for you @Essex_Al . Go back to the Bolton match day thread and also the subsequent post match debate, and see how many posts you can dig up to prove your point. Alternatively, pop back to ITTV as you did yesterday boasting that you had 'annoyed some bunnies on CL' and give your ego a massage.Essex_Al said:
There's also a very large number on here that want the club/team to fail and put a negative spin on absolutely everything that comes out of the club!superclive98 said:
Are you sure that we all want the same thing?ElfsborgAddick said:I can see another arguement brewing.
Fans at Northampton v ones in Belgium, ffs.
Sometimes I think people forget we all support the same club and want the same thing.
There are certain posters who seem to think that things are great at the moment.29 -
Why respond to him then? It's what he wants.3

Sint-Truiden isn't blessed with lots of hotels, be warned. Of course, the biggest is Stayen, RD's pile at the ground. You would think it would also be the best. But go look up the reviews on Trip Advisor (sorry, seems its impossible to directly link a TA page). They are both "unique" and somehow depressingly familiar.
Booked a better place (Belle Vie hotel, near the station)0 -
I know, I didn't reply yesterday as it seemed better to ignore him, but that bit about fans wanting the club to fail was so daft it derserved a response.0

Little note on behalf of the admin team if you could be so kind to read...
The first thread on this topic two days ago got derailed. We are keen not to have a second thread on it derailed.
To be clear, this thread is now for discussing logistics, support, anything positive or related to the trip.
If you don't agree with the trip, that is entirely your prerogative and you are entitled to your view. But please keep it to the separate Unity thread and not this one.
Some posters are increasingly getting kicks out of trying to wind up other posters, get a reaction, derail threads. We kindly ask all users to refrain from this, and equally important, not respond to this, as this just unnecessarily aggravates things (and gives the person the reaction they want). Please leave it to the admin guys to consider.
Any further posts derailing the thread are likely to be deleted.
thanks

Any ideas on coach pick up points yet? It would be hilarious if they coincided with the CAFC coaches departure for Northampton! Imagine the chaos!1

Yeh, one bloke leaves the house early that morning, "see you later love, ill be home in time for me tea"... two days later turns back up slightly worse for wear.

Stayen is functional (and right at the Stadium) - however, if you have an aversion to giving Duchatelet money then you might want to look elsewhere..PragueAddick said:Sint-Truiden isn't blessed with lots of hotels, be warned. Belle Vie is nice.
Belrom is also functional - close to the seedier part of town (not that St Truiden is a seedy town by any means)
If you want to stay elsewhere and travel in then Hasselt is approx. 20 mins from Sint Truiden, direct link on train.
Also check AirBnB - last time I went I stayed in cottage in Heers - about 10 mins outside St Truiden1 -
Tell me more about the seedy part of town, I'm currently running a Northampton v St Truiden playoff to decide where I go on March 4th and you might just swing it.The_President said:

There is a long wide road from town out to the airforce base. Every other building has a semi-naked woman in the window looking for "business" or is a "night club"se9addick said:

That's genuinely what Liege is like - wonder what it is about these places that attracts Roland ?Henry Irving said:

Liege is a lot closer though, and despite what @se9addick wrote above, I liked Liege (in much the same way as I like Swansea). It's a city with a soul and a spirit.
