Brilliant? Strangling the remains of local government and public services? Unemployment, zero hours contracts and mental health concerns for many? Gridlock and illegal levels of pollution? Arms deals with Turkey? Brilliant?
It's a good put down, but I suspect May's self congratulations on getting a commitment to NATO and laying foundations to a trade deal may prove to be her "I have in my hand a piece of paper" moment. Hopefully not a prelude to a World War, but I do think Trump has the potential to do a lot of damage, and damage that will reach further than the borders of his own country, and he will act on whims and do whatever the hell he wants - commitments made to little old Theresa won't matter a jot to him even in a week's time.
The idea that we can simply just not talk to him is not practical, and a bit anti-democratic, too, but personally I'd rather the British Prime Minister was keeping a bit of a disapproving distance from him rather than taking the first opportunity to cozy up to him like some kind of fawning puppy.

Or just 'maybe' Trump is cuddling up to 'our Prime Minister'....don't discount the possibility. There's no doubting he has a fair degree of admiration for her.
We all know Corbyn is a dead duck here but May has to be careful. If we don't prosper and instead struggle over the coming years - who are people going to blame? It is so very important for this government to get a good deal for their own future. When Corbyn goes there will be a vacuum in the labour party that may be filled by a new type of politician. Having a go at that wally, which is pretty pointless, suggests she might not get the point!
