Same old Charlton this season - can't defend.
  • I thought Fleetwood were decent, organised side, with some very tall players.I was worried about conceding corners when I saw the size of their number 12,who laid on the equaliser from a corner.I thought we played pretty well, and the players look like they are trying hard for Robinson.I thought we would win the game though, but the substitutions didn't work out,and that cost us.
  • Lots of possession and very neat and tidy in the first half. But nothing happening in the final third. Our first corner and we score. Watt ran his arse off, often chasing down lost causes and good to see Holmes back, and scoring.

Second half looked promising as we ran the show and Chicksen in particular was involved in a couple of classy moves. Then the game stalled for an age whilst the fourth official prepared himself to run the line. The game went cold and Chicksen then nearly let them in, was replaced with a stately Jackson and it was rubbish from then on.

Konsa is so good it hurts.
  • Just as well that Roland wants success isn't it? Imagine where we'd be if he didn't.

Fleetwood got on top from the moment Chicksen went off.

We got deeper and deeper and had nothing up top, ball just kept coming back at us.

We created next to nothing yet up until Chicksen went off were reasonably comfortable.

When they scored (and it was deserved) I thought they'd go on and win it.

No way are we getting in the play-offs.

Just when me and @Norman_Smith were agreeing that we settle for dull 1 - 0 wins like this for the rest of the season they equalise.

Can't say either side impressed but once we scored we looked the better side and in control but couldn't cope with them packing our box and we had no out ball.

Couldn't figure out the substitutions. Thought Jacko did well but him and Watt on the same side? JJ was shouting at Watt to push out at one point as we tried to push out and he was the last man!

Novak isn't a lone striker in that formation.

Why no Desilva or Mavididi? No trusted?

Missed Holmes and really missed JFC when they went off.

Sending off looked fair and Holmes might have been fortunate to only get a yellow for his bad tackle that saw their player hobble off.

A sending off in each of the last three games not good.

Pleased to see the applause taken up by most on 29 mins and hear VFR sung.

Bit harsh! I'd just hope that he has a disturbed sleep due to bad dreams and is very tired tomorrow. #softpunishment

Either that or he gets overcharged when dining out.

Seriously though, the FA need to look at the standards of refereeing. No wonder there's a vote of no confidence in them.
  • What are these signs of improvement you are seeing @KINSELLA7? Genuine Q as I am struggling to look beyond:

    - mid table in League One
    - squad too thin and over reliant on loans
    - poor disciplinary record
    - dwindling crowds
    - growing debt

    Stay Classy
  • Sorry not to play up to the script of woe and misery but I thought we played well. Nice to see us knock a ball around for a bit instead of hitting and hoping for a change.

Fleetwood put 10 men behind the ball and made it very difficult for us to break them down. I imagine the first 80 minutes today has been repeated all season by Fleetwood. Totally inocuous and then a load of energy at the end.

I'm usually very courteous to opposition teams but we really deserved all 3 points today.

Rosler played 5 at the back first half. We struggled to get behind them then did it and scored. Thought we were just about worth a win but we need to convert possession into chances.

I think he is referring to the improvement in Public Relations - have to say a huge improvement & I am very proud of the way we are now being manipulated into believing how wonderful everything is...marvellous stuff

And a home "crowd" of under 10,000.

When was the last time we saw an official home Saturday crowd that small?

Thought the substitutions lost it for us.

Jackson too slow for a left back.

Konsa much better centre half than in midfield why not play a proper left back and move Jacko into midfield.

    Novak is shit.

Can't believe Watt isn't scoring. He's so good and once scored against Barcelona. He also once kept the ball near the corner flag.

Read on the Charlton Facebook page and the other forum That the unity protest out in Belgium is ridiculous as "people should be going to a vital game away at Northampton" , something I laughed at as being ridiculous that the game Be given such hype

Perhaps they were right, vital game in the battle for mid table!

    Tell you what.

    If Roland goes, I'll go.

Substitutions were all wrong for me,
If he didn't fancy bringing on Dasilva then Tex should have come on, Konsa to LB. Novak for Watt and maybe Botaka for Holmes.
Horribly exposed down the left with KR's choices and we all knew they would score.
I expected more today for some reason but shouldn't be surprised really, play offs gone now I feel.

Well he is certainly going a strange way about trying to get this success if he wants it.

And that is why you leave early.

Took my boy for the first time, we left on 83 and as far as we are concerned he has a 100% attendance to win ratio

Proud?!! Of a draw at home to Fleetwood? What's he fucking smoking?

I can think of at least a dozen words to describe it, and proud certainly isn't one of them.
