Happy birthday mate. I'll be a year into my 30s tomorrow and thus far they're better than my 20s. I'm just as immature, but for some reason people take me more seriously.
Holy moly - my very own birthday thread! A rare honour! I guess as it's my thirtieth I'll forsake a bit of modesty and declare this a fitting and rightful tribute to King Lofty on this, the turning of his decade. But seriously...cheers everyone! And happy birthday SD!
Oh and my day yesterday? Enormous ramble about Weybridge and Walton via heath and river, visiting various sites of historical interest pertaining to this noble lot: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Diggers but also taking in an Italian restaurant lunch and (once returned to London) that wonderful tapas bar on The Cut. Not even that hungover - and thank god for that, because I'm teaching an online lesson right now
Sounds like a really good birthday to me. As I recall my 30th was the last occasion when I got really paralytic drunk and violently sick. Woke up in my bachelor pad about 16 hours later and no painkiller would do, so I started sipping vodka in a hair of the dog kind of way. Was heading nowhere until I met my wife-to-be later the same year. Anyhow, not meaning to hijack your thread - here's a song for you. good choice with the meson don felipe. (presume you mean there) love the food and atmosphere at that place, wines pretty good an all. a few years back though, a girl I took there for a date wasn't so impressed as her handbag was nicked by we think one of the waitresses. somehow I got the blame, so possibly the thief actually done me a favour.

Between the online lesson and the heavy day yesterday I couldn't quite find it in me to get the early coach. There in spirit, looking forward to the seth/Paddy dream team on comms (or whoever else does it) and see you all as we trounce Oxford on Tuesday!
