And when it no longer matters, when the play offs are out of sight we will go on a little run.

And all will be well, the future will be bright and we'll be told to renew our season tickets, get behind the team and wait to see how wonderful the rebuilt squad will be in August.

And some will buy the lies again, just like before.

That is how Powell began tbf
Even if Robinson equals Powell, Meire doesn't equal Varney. There was a huge back office effort to build that promotion squad. It wasn't just the manager.
I do hope the forthcoming Belgium protests focus on Meire's incompetence and the absolute unacceptability of a club like Charlton to be in League One without making uncompromising efforts to get out of it. CARD have had their uses so far - this season, contrary to popular opinion, has been much more competently-run than the three previous, perhaps in part due to visible dissent - but the pressure group has to focus its efforts on the areas that can be altered without potentially catastrophic fallout (such as RD selling to an even worse owner, which is imo distinctly possible). A proper CEO who understands what we need in a squad-building sense would be the single biggest step in the right direction.
    Well said Sue.
What's your plan - smash up a few cafes in Sint-Truiden?
    Don't be so pathetic.

Why makes up slurs about smashing up anything when you know CARD have never advocated or been involved in any such action.

You backed the wrong horse, you lost, admit it.
Why compare me to insipid arselicker Sue Parkes when I'm offering guarded praise of CARD and attempting to bridge the two 'sides' with constructive dialogue? Oh look, and my admittedly lazy swipe has its own flag now. How cute!
Because you suggested that CARD were planning criminal activity.

Others compared your confused apologist view to those of another well known apologist.

Fair or unfair that is nothing like suggesting peaceful protestors are planing physical violence.
Oh come on, I'm hardly being serious here. I know the protests will be peaceful. But when I suggest what the focus of the protests might be and get called a Sue (perhaps the rudest thing you can be called on here, short of a Keohane), I have a right to strike back

Three flags now! And all for a non-profane, fairly light-hearted rejoinder to an insult! Thin skins everywhere

You are the one with the thin skin pretending mock outrage about a flag while suggesting other fans are planing criminal violence.

Seems your definition of light hearted isn't mine or others.

I have 73 flags. It means nothing to me.

Being called Sue though, that cuts deep

You might have more flags than birthday cards by the end of the night

Clearly it means a great deal to you as you are so keen to mention your flags, who gave them and edit your accusation of criminal activity accusation to avoid more.

I'd like to release a statement

    STATEMENT

I don't mind CARD and I quite like most of the people in it and I even quite like Henry especially when he's not talking about the regime. I'm sorry for impugning (albeit in a fit of Sue-related pique) the forthcoming protests and I hope they go well - if Meire is fired immediately afterwards then they'll have been a rousing success and I will post a short video of myself applauding CARD to this website. I don't actually want to brawl but I feel quite fond of KR and our current team, so watching them getting laid into so vigorously fills me with a protective maternal instinct. Let's be friends again. I represent the very best of regime apologism. United we stand.

    END OF STATEMENT
  • Robinson blaming the players again. Shock.
  • “The chances we missed in the first half were criminal. I don’t really recall them having chances other than the ones they scored."

Well, at the match I was at Rochdale had one kicked off the line, one kept out by a great save by Rudd and later on they hit the bar.

    It's just alternative facts.

Back on topic, then. <3 Robbo <3 throw the team under the bus?

“We have a good team here. They need to believe and push forward because where we are in the league is not acceptable for this talented team. I want to get more out of them.”

These are not the words of someone who's throwing his team under the bus. They're the words of a leader. And he's quite right. I think that given a few more months with this team he'll have them playing some fantastic stuff, just in time for our late run into 12th spot, confounding @cabbles and anyone else who wants him to finish below Powell's first season

I think I detest the gobshite more then any of the other crap managers we have had maybe with the exception of Freye. Hurry up and sack him so we can get the next puppet in please. Least if they sack him it puts the club in the limelight again but I suppose like I've said previously why would they he is happy to do as he is told and to play the kids to put them in the shop window. How he starts Konsa ahead of Tex is just a joke, Tex is our best defender and good from set pieces when we are attacking. Dont get me wrong Konsa is a very good player but he is only starting ahead of Tex because he can be the next player to earn Roland some more money.

Can't understand the non-picking of Tex to be honest unless he is lent on not to start him

A leader would not win three out of sixteen games in this division "with a top six wage bill"

The Tex thing is weird, I agree. He was our best player IMO in Robbo's early games. Hopefully he'll start for the rest of the season

Likewise. Easily our best centre half.

If you gave Winston Churchill (Robbo) control of the British Army (CAFC) but then took away its guns (Magennis) for a month, and then gave them back all rusty, why, then the Bosch would be at our bloody doorstep!

I'd play Konsa with Tex. I honestly think Bauer is overrated.

We'd only won three games with shiny guns!

Don't understand why he just doesn't play Konsa in midfield. He's tinkering with the team a bit too much for my liking. We're not a top 4 prem team Karl. Injury and suspension aside, pick your best XI and stick with it.

But then we brought in JFC as air-support and Byrne and Page as a top-secret submarine program (with admittedly catastrophic buoyancy teething problems) so there was really no way shiny guns could fail. But now we're increasingly reliant on the 'Novak' model, which has an unfortunate tendency to shoot trees and houses and other non-fleshy things

From now on, our manager will only be referred to as Karl Gobinson
