Donald Trump's pick for US Ambassador to New Zealand is one Scott Brown, labelled by one commentator as an "insult". The appointment according to the Boston Globe is a reward for Brown who voiced support for Trump before many gave him much chance of winning. Former US intelligence advisor Paul Buchanan, now an academic in NZ said that Brown is "not the brightest bulb" and was pretty much useless as a senator.
The 57 year old supports torture including water boarding, he posed nude for a "Cosmopolitan" photo shoot and is currently facing allegations from Fox News contributor Andrea Tantaros that he groped her in August 2015.
Critics of the appointment suggest Brown would be coming to NZ for an extended cycling holiday.
Oh well.

But yeah, um, sorry about that. Could be worse:

Note: it's not clear that Park was picked solely for his love of The Sound of Music.
Anything to wind up the blow hards...
; )
Anyway, he is officially US Ambassador to NZ and we know this because the Governor General swore him in yesterday and he was on the 6 o'clock news playing one of his many electric guitars which he brought with him to NZ. He will have a room in his official residence devoted to his passion for rock n roll.
