  • I believe the "other story" referred to the ownership etc

So is this implying that it is an issue of structure within the club if not the owner or is he just putting it down to having the wrong players?
  • Out of every manager arriving under that bloke hiding in Belgium, KR actually inherited a team playing with some confidence. We had just picked up 7 points out of 9. It appears that confidence has disappeared.

  • Appeal Solly's card! Karl, you've lost it mate. Just give up now. I can just about cope with your drivel (I have a volume control) but I don't much care for the stuff that you are beginning to condone on the pitch. No wonder football is in a ditch.

Hate to say but Robinson's right...

Just watched it back and we should have been given a Free-Kick straight before his lunge because Solly was tugged back and was off balance hence the cause for his tackle looking messy... Had that not happened then yes it is a straight red as he wasnt in control at all

    Bit more -

Charlton boss will appeal Solly red card and accuses ref Ward of “terrible decisions”

Seriously? Now he's turning into Arsene fecking Wenger... he should have been one of the 500 poor sods in the East Stand who had a very clear view of it.
  • Show some self-respect Karl and tell RD exactly what is wrong. No more time for sycophancy.

Give him the summer and see where we are 15 games in. He need to mould HIS team. If things aren't good 15 games in examin the situation then, not now.

You know RD's track record - he won't get the summer.
    True :(
  • I've gone from disliking him to really hating him. Stop trying to be everyone's mate and rabbiting on 24/7, just start winning games.

    3 in 17.

I bet he doesn't rabbit at home, as he has a WIFE and a DAUGHTER. They do all the rabbiting. He can't interupt them and he can only rabbit at work. Should that be wek?

Crunch time for KR on Saturday v Bury when the natives could get very restless at another abject performance. He's got his work cut out especially as it appears from his inferences that some of the player are not fully committed.

He built them up to believe that they could achieve with all his rhetoric and a number of them have probably now realised it was just hot air. Now he's got to pick them up from the disappointment of failure.

Sounds like chalk and cheese last night after the second half efforts last Saturday. If he's lost the dressing room the run in could be trap door squeaky bum time.

I'll be paying close attention to the team spirit and body language in the next two games that's for sure .

The bloke has now completely lost it, deadman walking.

If there is any truth in the suggestion that Slade was sacked because RD was embarrassed by the Charlton fans in Belgium when we lost to Swindon I think he'll probably go if we don't beat Northampton - and I don't think we will.

We can't blame the players for giving up as most of the fans, rightly, have. They have a chancer as a manager who has slagged them off in public, an eccentric owner and an incompetent CEO. They must all be looking to get away!
  • He will be sacked after the belgium trip
  • what needs to change is the ownership - we know it, he knows it
  • 'When they've been coached to play a certain way' I took that to mean he blames Slade.

He needs at least a couple of leaders on the pitch, we don't really have any with Pearce out and Jackson not playing. Once they cross that white line he needs someone to take control, I think he'd like to ring the changes on Saturday but has limited options, he's probably not got more than 65 minutes in him but I'd be tempted to start with Jackson.

Rudd - he needs to start commanding his back four, seems he rarely talks to them.
If Chicksen is fit I'd play him at left back, Konsa at right back.
Centre Halfs, no options really other than Tex & Bauer
Play Jackson in Front of them
Midfield of Holmes, Aribo, JFC and Mavididi
Magennis up top but give Ricky a free role to roam, much like Lennie did with me, start him on the left but let him do what he does. Jackson can always move to the left and put Ricky off Magennis.

Bury have goals in them but also leak a lot, on Saturday attack will be the best line of defence. It'll be a goal fest......... that we'll probably draw, 4-4.
  • Don't just talk about it Karl - Do it.

He may even surprise Bury - but I doubt it.
  • David Brent now plays Baldrick - he has a cunning plan.
  • Mentioned on the game thread.

When Solly got sent off KR walked up to the 4th official and waved his finger in his face and said "See, I told you he would give us nothing tonight".

This means that before the game KR went to the 4th and said "The ref will give us nothing tonight". Even if he thought that, he should not be saying that sort of stuff. It would almost certainly get the ref's back up before a ball is even kicked!

Bloke does himself no favors what so ever!

One of the problems with KR is that he clearly is a bit like Marmite. Even when he was appointed, some stated they instantly disliked him. Personally, I always thought he was ok, but I didn't like the fact he chose to take the job under this regime.

Since being here, i've grown to dislike him. I think he's been found out. I think he has too many excuses. I think he is very much in with the regime, and really, he's not that good.....

Generally, I find him annoying as hell and a bit of an idiot.

So I ask you......if you were a player at Charlton, and he was suddenly foisted upon you as your new boss, there is chance you just generally may really not like him? He may irritate the players as he does the fans. Ther players may think he is an idiot, as do a lot of the fans. If you have that sort of divisive personality, perhaps that's the reason some players are just not able to play under him.

    This sums it up perfectly.
