Boro protests on Sky - 12 months on

12 months to the day since that game.

What a bonkers day that was; funeral march of thousands, thousands of Beach balls, the loudest and most prolonged 'we want Roland Out' in a deserted ground where what seems like every single person there wanted to make the point, whistles etc.

Looking back really surprised that game never got abandoned. I think a few other referees would.

Just saw the Facebook clip on Sky again and saw that when it was circulated at the time it received over 1 million view on the beachballs bit alone.

Will go down as one of those unique, memorable days in our history. Really was the day the Charlton fans properly made a United stand and the whole of the football world knew about it

we have the best and most well organised supporters protest group in the country maybe the world , we have to take it to them we are or was a family club , we cant let the bastards grind us down , keep the faith

I've only paid for Burnley just after and Millwall this year since.

A great day and protest and the only shame imo is that it (the disruptions) did not push on from there and some people have allowed results at times to have an effect on their desire to protest, when it really shouldn't make a difference.

Hoping for something at least similar for Cov away.

I bottled going on the pitch , was tanked up , had permission from wife to get nicked (as long as I was back for the 4.30pm school run on Monday) and had a clear run when the other fella made a run for it .
Shame on me but our limp fans were all wristing one off cos we were 1-0 up and they had this thing that protests would affect results and I bottled it cos of a few booooos .

Big day for my family too. Took my sons Tommy and Lucas (and a few friends) to The Valley for their first visit.
The atmosphere was amazing that day.

Have a feeling we're closer to him selling than we were a year ago. Had everyone just become the type of fans RD sees in his vision he might have had more reason to carry on.
