Saw the copy of the newspaper headline on the OS which i guess is from the Museum's collection. I have some random newspaper cuttings, here is one for March 1937 just before the game against France in April 1937. @Henry Irving Do you need any newspaper clips to add to the collection.

I see the Charlton height test has a pedigree at least back to 1937!

Postscript at end of report says Smale who was in the Chelsea side had been turned down by Charlton as he failed the Charlton height test!

@dipenhall yes, we'd love to have them.

I think the cutting on the OS is one of ours. The notes certainly come Jimmy Seed's match diaries which we have.
