Two guys that sit infront if me had a barney infront of me at full time, was the most passion I saw from Charlton all night.
Yeah that was me. A fellow fan screaming in my face for singing "we want Roland out", because "it was too soon".se9addick said:Two guys that sit infront if me had a barney infront of me at full time, was the most passion I saw from Charlton all night.
It was the 94th minute. I don't think paying your respects to a fellow fan, which we all did, means you are not allowed to show any sort of dissatisfaction until you have left the stadium.
Many games have a minute's silence these days, so no fan would ever be able to criticise, if you follow the same logic.
He obviously disagreed. Mind you he has form. Early in the season or maybe last season, he approached me and asked if I thought he was wrong to be buying lager in the stadium, which he does every game.
I said it was up to him and none of my business. But he pushed me for my opinion, so I said ideally, no I didn't think we should be giving extra money to RD if we can avoid it. (I've purchased drinks in Crossbars this season, because one of my mates has been too unwell to get to/from a local pub).
He then started to get a bit aggressive, having pushed me for an answer, that I wasn't interested in giving.
Anyway, we're all Charlton fans and this is what RD has brought us to.7 -

I was sitting a couple of rows behind. I was shocked at his behaviour to be honest. At his advanced years one would have thought he would know how to behave; his point at being the 'wrong time' for singing Roland out was a bit strong, and as my son pointed out, it was certainly not the occassion to go running over to confront someone in an overly aggressive manor regarding a chant!Covered End said:se9addick said:Two guys that sit infront if me had a barney infront of me at full time, was the most passion I saw from Charlton all night.

Indeed, if he was that passionate about the occasion one would have thought and hoped that his understanding would have been a powerful moderator.5 -
