It’s partly due to I started it but I no longer can use my work PC for CL and our PC at home broke a couple of years ago and not yet been replaced. So virtually all my CL stuff is currently done by phone. If I need to type anything substantial, do any fiddly stuff like links etc, I have to to the library at lunchtime, which isn’t possible for me to do too regularly.

Hopefully ill I’ll be able to get a new pc for home soon and start inputting to the site more than current.
I can help in this direction mate, is there a position available as a Moderator?
You could always sort him out a decent secondhand PC from your shop!

    AFKA is named Shirley.
    Who would of guessed
I thought the reason why AFKA wore high heels was because he was vertically challenged.

so was my survey which was deleted without explanation, deleted from the library in a fit of lunchtime rage?? absolute disgrace!!!
Maybe that’s why you placed a misleading post a few days back in this thread suggesting there were takeover talks in progress and that the next two or three days were crucial/critical.....or words to that effect.
I’m still puzzled why you did that mate?
My apologise SoundAsa£ was being sarcastic which isnt like me,i blame jim white, have since heard RedBull are back in the frame

Just checked 1592 pages to check when the Red Bull rumour/ joke started  ( Sad I know but I'm recovering from a hospital procedure and can't get out for a few days)

The answer is 1574 pages ago and the speculation was could we become Red Bulls team in England and emulate RB Leipzig !

Now if that unlikely scenario happened,
Would the boycotters all return because Duchatelet is history, and would the valley faithful start a Boycott because of being owned by a company who would change the name of club to RB Charlton and change the Name of ground to Red bull valley arena.

Would Richard Murray get back to the front row of the grid when he welcomes the new owners -would Sue Parkes stomach the German sausage or would she find it wurst
than vol-au-vents- would Airman Brown rename the VOTV, RedBullshitters- would the fans lap this up or feel this was the pits.- Would fans accept the Jimmy Seed stand's name being changed to Beckenbauer after the co-owner, Dietrich Mateschitz buddy or would that idea stall- would the season tickets which included 50% off at the British grand Prix, entice the petrol head fans back to the Valley.

Red Bull took over Markranstradt in the 5th tier and became a top 4 club in the bundesliga in 7 years. Do we sell our soul to whizz around with Man City, United and Liverpool etc or do we just  play bumper cars with Accrington Stanley and Fleetwood for the rest of our existence.

    Nurse......Nurse.....

To continue the hipspeak, what does ‘just saying’ even mean?

    "Just saying"

    A. Verbal shrug.

    B. It's none of my business anyway.

    C. To emphasize a point that was raised earlier.

'Just saying' often (not so much in this case) used to insincerely soften the impact of some vicious personal slight.
As if to imply that the brickbat might be someone else's opinion, the speaker being both sly and spineless.

Generally it's about as useful and well considered as 'IMO' or worse 'IMHO' - yes we know it's your opinion - we can see and hear you saying it!  As for humble FFS always the antithesis of humility.  All often heard/read in clauses commenced with the clangingly redundant "So..."

I’m getting tired with all this lethargy. Has anybody heard a whisper or an outright load of bollocks that can cheer this thread up? Come on those ITK get your bollocks out for the life (metaphorically speaking). 🧐

I always thought IMHO was 'in my honest opinion', so visiting the takeover thread hasn't been a complete waste of time.

So Basically when this was put pout there just before the Pompey game that I said this was rubbish. It was there to avoid potential protests in front of TV's I was rudely told Rubbish by Rick Everitt. Look who is right all along. The next rumour of a bid will be when the season ticket prices are announced.  That was very rude of him and I have lost respect. If you say it is Rubbish then provide evidence that it wasn't. Don't just bring people down because of their opinion. For the record.. it happens every transfer window, new season tickets sales. I was misled into buying a season ticket for this season as Murray said Deal would be done in Feb and then in the summer. This club is never going to be sold.

Your guess that there was an announcement made purely to avoid protests at the Portsmouth game was interesting, but I am not aware that you have posted anything that backs up your suggestion.  Do you have any evidence that it was leaked by the club (or someone close to RD) in order to do this?

I am not suggesting what you have said isn't true.  But it would be good to see if you have any attestation for your claim.  If it was just a guess, then, of course, you wouldn't necessarily have any corroboration, and that's fine.  But if you are suggesting you "know" (or "knew") it to be the case, it's fair to ask you how you know (or knew).

I don't think @Airman Brown would simply "rubbish" a claim unless he knew it not to be based on facts known.  And, as far as I remember, he explained that the leak had come from the potential buyer's side, not from the club.  And, if that's the case, then, of course, the suggestion it was just for the purpose of mitigating protest during a televised game would not make any sense.

I'd be interested to know what source you have for claiming it was leaked by the club for that reason.  Or, whether it was an opinion or a guess.

Have to agree. NO sign of a sale. I have been told that the Arab bid was genuine but Roly turned it down. Long, dark days ahead. I really can't get overly enthusiastic as to play-offs/promotion as if RD is still here next season it's going to be awful, whatever league we are playing in.

If you purchased a season ticket on the back of what anyone at the club told you I am afraid you only have yourself to blame. The only decent people left at the club are the ones working behind the scenes who you never hear from.

Anybody else who sticks their head up and makes a statement about Roland, the sale of the club or a "takeover" cannot be trusted.
