Would rather not have Chinese backers

They've been a bit hit n miss when they've purchased English clubs
Not sure you can dismiss any backer based on nationality.

I am however sure that we need rid of RD sooner rather than later!
No but I'm equally cautious about anyone coming in... New owners wont instantly mean they're great

  • I think it is time for Chinese jokes...

"Dalman has been described by current Bluebird's boss Neil Warnock as 'the best Chairman (I've) ever worked with' ......"

My money's on the Roland and Lee partnership continuing rather like the successful pop duo Peters and Lee from the 1970s.

Their most famous hit was Welcome Home and  like the Charlton duo, one was talented, popular and fair-haired and the other was blind and couldn't play the piano very well.
Remember them being top billing when I was working at a holiday camp. My lips are sealed.
    Hi De hi

When should one click on LOL? Is it literally a loud laugh even if only for a millisecond? I just gave Beardface a LOL but only for a bit of air coming out of my nostrils. Does that count?
Maybe we should get someone to start a survey on the subject. Any volunteers?

No, you have to LAUGH OUT LOUD.

Take the LOL back from @Beardface.
    Done

  • I still think it’ll be the Aussies.

I don't think we can rely on them to organise the LOL survey.

  • Nothing further to report at this stage. The process will have to be conducted thoroughly and that'll take at least another month. Still being told it's more likely to fall through than go through (good news for Cardiff), but I'm not so convinced. Guess we'll know by August?
That's from the Journo Paul Abbandonato who reports from Walesonline.
  • I think i know who this chinese backer is ........win one soon  ill get my coat
  • If it was going to be the Aussies they'd have done it two years ago.

So ...... Dalman's offer is serious, then. Aussies RD doesn't want to deal with.

Any identity as to the other offer, Supaclive?

    Ackworth.
  • One extra thing that worried me about Roland's statement was that buyers were concerned at our losses and this was making a deal difficult to close. If that's true, that is very worrisome to me. Losing money, as much as allowed by FFP, is part at parcel of being in The Championship and promotion without significant losses is almost impossible. If the new owners are really that concerned with cutting losses, instead of increasing turnover and making the team better, we may be trading one bad owner... for another. The only thing keeping me from being even more worried about this is that Roland's statements have historically been full of shit.
  • Tony Xia at Aston Villa seemed great at first but didnt he need the Egyptian bloke to come help them out financially?
Yeah he sold his majority stake to the Egyptian guy and some American billionaire who also owns an NBA team
  • Dalman deal still 'at least a month away' according to Cardiff journo on twitter.

Roland's been using that as an explanation for cost cutting for months, wouldn't read that into it
