Strange that Muir was back today with the scarf round his neck again. Am I right in thinking this is the first time since Shrewsbury when he thought they had it practically wrapped up.
    He was at Wembley
With Murphy. With a deal that RD reneged on.

Anyone know why he decided to go today
He got some complimentary tickets and decided to squeeze in half a game before going to see palace play and finalise the deal there...
  • Couldn’t be there today. Are these photographs genuinely from today’s match ? Seems mightily odd that he should be there alone ? When there is supposed to be now nothing cooking.
  • Interesting he is still about.  At the very least we now have a very wealthy fan!
  • So any idea? Come on itk

Definitely from today, I can see myself in the background in the F Block
  • Well now it’s confirmed that Muir was there and wearing a scarf and on his own I think it’s fair to assume that he’s still interested. Can’t possibly be another reason for him being there and being that conspicuous or is there ?

My guess is that he was making exactly that point.
I don't know the ins and outs of Roland's finances or what may or may not force him to sell, but at this moment in time the club is in as good a place as it has been for the past 4 or 5 years.
If he wouldn't budge when the Aussies first got involved what would possess him to budge now?

@JamesSeed just a quick point of clarification. Are you saying that, and I recognise it’s to the best of your knowledge, the Australians are now out completely or just the potential US investment?
@JamesSeed have you had it confirmed from GM they've dropped out? Feel like you said it was from a non-Aussie source. Guess I've foolishly still got a glimmer of hope until it's from the horses mouth
The Aussies are out, and I’ve just heard the yanks are too. Apparently Roland is impossible to deal with, although @eaststandmike thinks he isn’t, which is interesting?
Sorry @Addicktion can’t comment on sources at the moment. I will tell you in person, but it’ll cost you a pint.

Aussie (+ US backing) attempt to buy the club is over.

Can't say which source supplied the info, but apparently RD was impossible to deal with, and they've had enough.
Is it known by anyone whether:

    - an actual deal was put to Roland in recent months which he has rejected?

Joint Aussie/Yanks bid rejected a few weeks back. Second bid may or may not be still on the table.
  • Hokey Cokey ?
  • A bit early but wanted to be the first one to say.......

Zager & Evans wrote a song about it.
Theres another 500 pages to go before that
  • Hokey Cokey ?
Make it up as you go a longey.

  • Can I just say, I don't follow this thread any more and have made new friends, adopted a dog, changed my career and bought a static caravan in Worthing.
I believed you until you got to the bit about buying a caravan in the most boring place in Europe and probably beyond.

    That's good news.

It wasn't Muir, it's Paul Jones of the Mannfreds and he'll be making an offer in 5, 4, 3, 2,1 days
I'm seeing Paul on Friday - I'll ask him.

Wow! It's got to the point where there's evidence of an interested party in the directors box, but everyone just carries on with what they were doing because we all know it ain't happening.
From those pics he's not even in the directors' box.
