Nothing wrong with legitimate scrutiny. If there’s nothing to find then it won’t be found.
or raging rick as the piece called him
Now is not the time for digging and scrutiny now is the time for coming together and allowing people to show their intentions not looking like an soured scorned love sick bint
what needs to happen is time out ESI have to have atleast 2 full seasons to clear the decks remove the things that have been installed in charlton that make us small time and chancers and there’s loads
retain the good people growths club based on the good will and the knowledge that’s retained
move on from our past learning from it but not dwelling on it
reinstall the values we once had and 100% focus on the youth system and what that may bring to the table to use not sell
bolster the playing squad to support the youth production line
sign avory and his team on the longest deal known to man
give gallen the keys to the kitty
sign bows and jacko on long term deals
That’s what will define ESi and it’s not a January 2020 fix
resting and bedding the youth in the correct way
I would be focused on signing players to get us through the next 3-4 months of this season in any budget given by ESi
I would sell those that show no desire to stay and use that money to fund in comings that may be more long term6 -
Indications from ESI side is that Charlton takeover has moved closer but that not a done deal yet.
To me this says EFL asked for clarification of an issue and EDI have now given it. The EFL now have less than 11 hours, to either approve or raise further questions. Failure to do so in a timely manner, leaves them open to legal action for prejudicial treatment of a member.2 -
IF, ESI intend to sell Taylor, how do they do that in January, when he may be the only fit striker other than Davidson ?
There is a parallel with Yann not being offered an extra 2 grand back in the day.
So this is the "strange" comment made by Bowyer ? IF Taylor was paid the going rate for a Championship striker he would stay unless it was a premier club that makes him an offer !
So ESI know a striker that is available in January and is as good as Taylor ! Blimey, good luck with getting that deal done for less than 10 million.
Why did Bowyer say "we have another 21 games so I wont pick Lyle to start"
If he knew he was going ?
All becoming surreal, with most posters now showing their political colours or their inner feral beasts.
Healthy new year to all.

Seems to me that Cawley would be better keeping his yap shut than posting something as annoyingly vague and contradictory as that.
I really wish twitter would go away.2 -

what i do know for a fact is that once this all be ratified over the next 7-10 days maybe sooner that the offer to taylor matches brentfords from the summer
should he not want to sign that and people still be interested in him , (I am not so sure the same people would be ) and we be offered 3-4 mil for him i personally would sell him rather than wait
remember I said when the first knock back from charlton came to brentford that we would see taylor for a max of two or three weeks then gone til Xmas with injury now I am no Nostradamus but I was virtually correct
I want a fit switched on commited taylor above all other strikers in this league I think he is that important to us
but if we don’t have that taylor then let him go and I wish him well

Just as well I didn't pass on the rest of the message.
When it's on the official site
That also insignificant message would have also been pulled apart, over analysed and huge assumptions made from it, followed by some personal attacks on whoever the poster has been digging out for years.
Not worth the hassle of having to put insignificant things in context given the febrile nature of this site after a defeat.
You’ve been on the scene long enough to know full well that there is not a single forum in the world where a contribution on the lines of ‘I know something you don’t’ has ever gone down well.

Selling Taylor would be a huge own goal right up there with selling Yann. But as this is Charlton I expect he'll be sold on deadline day3

Fabulous post!100% with you on your conclusion!!
Happy new year to all on CL.
Hopefully there’s a bright future ahead.
2020 is the year to start laying the solid foundations for growth!!2 -

I’d always rather he tweets, even if it isn’t the most exciting update.11 -
When are Sheffield Wednesday, Boro and Bury going to sue the EFL? Source? Links?0

Pure speculation regarding Taylors future but what if he wanted to go (pure speculation again) and we were offered Glen Murray and cash as a swap for Taylor and signed Ivan Toney - would that be a good deal?

Wow, that escalated quickly.
Great post @Grapevine49
As you say, or as I paraphrase, we don't know about the new owner or his chosen staff but beggars can't be choosers.
But that shouldn't mean we don't ask questions (I can think of six at least). We have no legal right to answers but that shouldn't stop us asking. And asking questions doesn't mean being against the new owners or constitute a witch hunt.
As I said before we've been bitten not once, not twice but thrice so are entitled to be shy.
When the completed and approved takeover is confirmed on the official site ESI can start to put their plans into action and we can start to see what they are made off.

For the record, as it stands, statements like:
We are privileged to take ownership of such an historic club
While we may be the club owners, truly we are only the custodians
Are wholly inaccurate.

Don't drop a post saying "That done deal I mentioned,... yeah, it's not done. Bye" if you're going to be surprised about anybody wanting to actually know why0 -

I think the problem with RC's tweet is he uses the phrase "done deal" which could be taken to mean the deal to buy the club from RD, implying a hitch, as opposed to the ratification of the EFL. I am fairly sure he means the latter, but I've asked him on Twitter if he can clarify.
If it's the latter then I suppose it means that ESI and RD have clarified a few things to the EFL's satisfacion but there are still some things they are waiting for.3 -
