Being involved in the development at SL, wouldn't Swisdom have a good idea of the future plans for the site under a new owner ?RedChaser said:
Better get some revised tenders in for the training ground @Swisdom and jack the price up a bit sounds like they're loadedSwisdom said:
I'm thinking that too. But can't help but think there's a sting in the tail....it seems to be too good to be true. I mean - if they are paying £45m then I'd like to think they have a fair few pennies in the bank to invest on the squad.Curb_It said:If it is true, then I'm hoping it means they really, really want to buy us and no one else and that they mean business.
I'm maintaining calmness at the moment.....but there might be light at the end of the tunnel - let's just hope it's not a train

Stay well clear, Swis.2 -
If this goes through by the next home game there there should be a ‘stand up for the Charlton fans’. A welcome change from ‘stand up if you want them out’ ...1

“We want Roland out” changed to “we got Roland out” is a chant I’ve wanted to sing for so so longDENCH said:If this goes through by the next home game there there should be a ‘stand up for the Charlton fans’. A welcome change from ‘stand up if you want them out’ ...

Just got back from a work training day with no WiFi access. No time to go through 300 unread posts. Did we decide whether it was ok to microwave a Pot Noodle? Can’t see it on the bite size thread.57

I had got told earlier today that deal agreed and it was the Australians taking over. But there is a whole lot of information out there - hard to know what is absolutely true. @airmanbrown far more connected than me on this subject, wouldn't pretend otherwise.28 -

I wonder how many people have made "IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENED" GIFs in the hope of being the first to post it once the sale is confirmed? Will surely be the most liked post in CL history.3

Henners is primed and ready - in a final, but alas I fear unfruitful, push to get a promote.Chef_addick said:I wonder how many people have made "IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENED" GIFs in the hope of being the first to post it once the sale is confirmed? Will surely be the most liked post in CL history.
What's the record number of members online for CL? @AFKABartram4 -

Got a horrible feeling that as his parting shot, Roland will sell to that horse that was rumoured to be interested.3

Don't care what the final figure was for selling.
Whatever it was the new owners considered it worth it.
As long as fuckface sells everything ground, sparrows lane etc I will be happy.
Can't wait to see the back of the old cnut11 -
Let's see where we are after the takeover.Henry Irving said:The other thing on the price.
Duchatelet bought when the company was distressed, despite what Seriously Deluded claimed at the time, and the spivs were desperate to get some money back and get the club off their hands.
So he paid less than he would have had the club been in good health financially.
£45m still seems too high though.2 -

How does the £45 mil we are being bought for compare to other clubs which have been bought over the last few years..?0

Same price as Wolves.CrayAddick said:How does the £45 mil we are being bought for compare to other clubs which have been bought over the last few years..?

If £45M means he's completely gone with no retained interest in the ground or training ground then that's absolutely fine with me.
I do think you'd have to be pretty mad to spend that much on us though...3 -
If they’re buying for £45 million they better have some money to spend and not spunked it up the wall giving it to duchatelet.3
-
Interesting. You’d have to be well financed to spend that on a league one club.Valley27000 said:

I wouldn't give Duchatelet my last fiver let alone my last £45M!kentaddick said:If they’re buying for £45 million they better have some money to spend and not spunked it up the wall giving it to duchatelet.

Well, however much money he’s got, he’s still a prize dickhead of the very highest order, and no sum of money can rescue him from that little personality problem.

He's shelled out £55m all told, so he's still down £10M !cantersaddick said:If 45 mill means a clean break with all debt cleared and no conditional payments or hold over land etc. Then I'd take it. Even if I think it's wayy more than the club is worth and it annoys me he will make money out of it.
