Unfortunately, because he sees himself as a visionary, he thought that he knew better so appointed various incompetents to make the major decisions and instead that money has been mostly squandered.

Being away from this for a while and just trying to catch up. I've been reading this thread and other threads on a few other forums and social media. It all seems quite confusing, we have @Airman Brown saying it COULD go through this week, others are stating, elsewhere, that they have been told categorically that its a load of BS and RD is going nowhere, others are saying on social media they have heard its on, elsewhere its being reported in excess of £50m will get RD to sell. I think, for what its worth, we have two potential scenarios here, firstly - What @Airman Brown was told by various sources was true and we are in DD with an indicative price agreed, or secondly in order to discredit people the stories were 'fake news'.
I don't know which way it cuts, I hope its the first way!!
I look forward to logging in as and when I can for updates.

Lots of people pretending to be in the know; there is evidently a strong likelihood it won't go through , as with any takeover. Any chance the mods could adopt the same approach as with post match comments - when those comments from people who were actually there are made bold. Could comments that have some real relevance to the "imminent takeover" be emboldened...? Would save a lot of time for those only looking for some kind of update on the situation.0

If it was as easy as that, the likes of Leeds, Sheffield x 2, Forest, Fulham, Brum, Blackburn, Bolton, Wigan,Villa,Wolves,Norwich,QPR...........would have done it years ago!

In truth Westy, if you are looking for takeover news or updates, here isn’t the place to look. The Airman has said there is creditable evidence that a takeover may be happening and perhaps quite soon and I have no reason whatsoever not to believe him. This being the case then by now, non-disclosure agreements would have been signed and hence no news. He could have got us to or challenging for a place in the Prem. With a bit of investment into the team that he inherited he would have had a good shot at it. Instead he has just wasted million upon million and he is now in a position where he doesn't have a cat-in-hell's chance of recouping that wasted money.carly burn said:

Not every team that gets promoted has spent tens of millions. Lots of the teams that you mention only spent large because they were in receipt of parachute payments from the Prem.6 -

I always thought an NDA was a commitment not to make public any information the signatories find out as they go through the accounts and other stuff. It does not prevent signatories themselves or third parties revealing who has signed an NDA. Am I wrong?HarryLime said:
