Severn crossing.

Working in Wales this week. Anyone got any idea if the crossing has to be paid in cash or it can be paid with card? Also do you get a receipt as I need to claim back for work.

Cheers.

  • There are separate cash and card lanes, you can use contactless

Tolls are something they shouldn't need a receipt for mate, I've paid cash in the past but I imagine they have card readers now.

As long as taking that route and paying the toll was a reasonable part of the journey (as in, you didn't go miles out of your way to encounter the toll) I'm sure HMRC amd your employers won't need a receipt on your expenses claim

They'll give you a receipt if you ask. Just keep hold of it, its windy at those booths.
