I mentioned him on the sixties/seventies gig thread and thought I'd google him to see what he was up to.
Sadly he appears to have passed away last month: http://mudcat.org/thread.cfm?threadid=161783
For those inclined to complain about so called 'obscure' RIPs Joe was a Charlton fan since 1949 so is fully deserving of his own thread: http://www.joestead.com/ramblings/Volume 152_May 2013.htm
I was privileged to know him slightly back in the seventies but haven't seen him since then.

I remember Joe Stead well. He appeared at The Tramshed regularly and was a good friend of my brother in law many years ago.
