I have never been to a home friendly before. Been to about 10 away ones for first team or under 23s. These are always non-league grounds. Can't see the appeal of home friendlys.
Always good to face higher league opposition pre-season to test ourselves. Town fans will be disappointed of course.
But Mick Mc lives close by so it's easier for him.
And he's often in touch with people at Charlton
So we arranged a friendly game because their manager lives close to Charlton. You know what that actually wouldn't surprise me with these freaks in charge.
As long as we don't hire him because he lives close!

I would guess because if you play only teams that are a long way behind your technical ability it's no test of those aspects.
There is an obvious gap in that schedule - July 22nd, for example - and I expect they would be looking to play someone better than Dover and the previous opposition in it.
