What was the price of a bus from Charlton to Woolwich on your birthday?

Or the price of 6 eggs.

Like anyone gives a fuck.

Yeah but it was a rhetorical question.

Quorn sausages though mate...Or Linda McCartney, have your pick!
  • Busy transfer season then!
  • When I went to school:

    Dozen Eggs = 18p
Bus Ticket (mine was on Canvey Island) = 15p
Eggy fart on a crowded bus = Priceless
  • The last (before the recent revival) London tram ran two weeks after my birthdate. The old ones were taken to Penhall Road in Charlton for scrapping. Here's a picture.

  • The fare was one white dog turd and a packet of Spangles.
  • I think the fare on the 284 or p4 to lewisham to get my 136 or 208 to school was 30p - this was circa 1993/94

By the way @iainment do you still want to know the answer to your original question, or was it more of a Friday night on the razz question? If you still want to know I can bump this up to the top of page one for you.....
  • Like all the people who claimed to have seen Charlton beat Huddersfield 7-6 (I was one), I can also claim that my nan was on the last tram.
