    in 1993-4 season we wore squad numbers based alphabetically.
    so,, number 1 was stuart balmer.
    what others can people remember without googling.
    i think i remember gritty was 7 and pardew 15. and at a guess bolder 2.

    I don't think Bolder was there that year, he'd gone and Salmon was the No.1, or not as the case may be (you know what I mean)

    No that was Balmer No.1

    I remember getting my name on the back of my shirt with "12".

    Everyone said "why have you got 12 on your back? Are you a substitute?"

    Nobody understood squad numbers.
