The A 222 is closed from the War Memorial traffic lights to Chislehurst station.
Alternative routes seized up as you'd expect so avoid!!
A colleague said that he thought a sinkhole had opened so this could go on for days if he is correct....

Yes, happened a couple of days ago. Traffic has been on divert past my house ever since! It's only a small sink-hole, half way up Summer Hill. With other road works (like the tunnel at Yester Road closed), it can be really chaotic round here just now...0
