Azarenka struggling, 4-0 down to (the rather attractive it must be said) Catherine Bellis.

She did only give birth at Christmas so she's not done bad to get here!!

Yes, finding affordable childcare is a real problem these days

    True. 4-2 now.
  • Bouchard on Court 2.
  • Wawrinka now 3-1 down in the 4th set
  • Medvedev looks a very good player. Stan never been fantastic on grass but would be a huge shock for him to go out in the first round (and also a massive help to Murray).
  • Stan's going out here... three break points for 5-1.
  • Bedene takes the 4th set.
    What a game this is.
  • My bet on Stan for the tournament is not looking good!!

I hope you didn't put too much on him!

Wawrinka out in four sets. Was due to play Murray in the quarter final.
  • Bedene takes the 4th set.
    What a game this is.

2 sets all and not a single break of serve.
    That's 48 games without a break unbelievable.
No tiebreak in the 5th set so something has to give.

    Couldn't be, could it?
  • Medvedev looks like a future star

Who do you fancy to win Callum

Karlovic will be a nightmare to break. I fancy Bedene to slip up and lose serve sooner.
  • I fancy Bedene.
Karlovic is 38 years old it must catch up on him
  • Big chance for Bedene here...

Wow - that's why I'm not a gambler! Well played Bedene.

Early rounds usually see the best Tennis dont they as there are more Underdogs around

Yes and no. I prefer matches where serves aren't so dominant

I know what you mean but that's why I like different surfaces.
When you watch the French open on clay the service counts for very little it's all about rallies.
At Wimbledon the serve is a major part of a players armoury.
Like I say that's why I like different surfaces.
Borg managed to win plenty on both surfaces so it can be done

Turns it around to win in 3.

I find serve dominated games a bit dull. Similarly, if players just smack the ball back to each other as hard as they can from the baseline, that can be dull too!

So what do you like ?
  • Presumably a match that mixes things up a bit - slice, drop shots, lobs etc.
  • French open champion Ostapenko through.

Yes. Dustin Brown vs Murray should be great to watch, for example
