use of the 'network' by Duchatelet .. splitting his resources at the probable expense of CAFC .. I do wonder however if Ceballos, as good and skilful as he is, would be up to a full season of getting hoofed about in our league
Yep, it all smacks of him getting his own back on us in some perverse sort of way. The STVV boys are already taking the piss out of me , saying is there anyone else any good they could have - they said they needed midfielders, so i pointed them towards our most brilliant midfielder...Crofts.
I think the artificial pitch and less aggressive style in Belgium suits Cebellos. On the one hand Cebellos has had such a good pre season that losing him now might strengthen Robinson's hand in securing a decent replacement, on the other hand Meire and Duchatelet haven't seen the pre season influence of Cebellos so would probably ignore any case made by Robinson.
The question is how much of a hit & increase in club debt there is for transfer of Ceballos & Teixeira to STVV ? How much of the wages are Charlton paying for Vetekele & Ajose ?
Will there be a sufficient freeing up of budget for a creative central midfielder, left back, goal keeper, right back cover & decent striker / cover for Magennis ?
The subsidised wages & tied in budget for players not playing has acted as a trailing anchor on chances of any manager building a successful, competitive squad. The players Charlton get in over the next few weeks will help tell the story of what is happening & what kind of season it is likely to be.
If this happens, is it because Roland is selling and moving assets before hand? Before I get hopeful, if this was the case, igor would have gone permanently
Sometimes business owners shift assets around just before selling parts of their business.
Just saying.
Similar thing happened at Standard Liege before Duchatelet sold including strong rumours of a near sale. His player dealings near the end didn't favour Standard.
I could be wrong, but i think STVV start their season a little bit later than us because of the playoff system. Maybe they've used us to get the two fit ?
Having been my MOM in all the Ireland games, his goal and the all round positive reviews for his performance yesterday i would be surprised to see him shipped off to STVV.
His behaviour and performance's to me seem like me wants to be here and put a shift in l, i would like to see him given a chance with us this season.

If true and it is about balancing the squads and the books I assume Robbo had to make a decision on which of his decent players he would lose. Kash is the one to keep as there are very few of his type about and is also good enough for the Championship should we ever get there.
I also guess that STVV were not overly impressed with Sarr's flexability along the back 4 but Robbo gave it every chance.

Robinson has no real say on who stays and who goes. He gets what he is given like all the others.
When it's on the official site and all, but this would be maddening. The best player in pre-season by a country mile. Used to be ON THE BOOKS @se9addick at Spurs and Barcelona.

That's more like it !
Whilst he was on the book, do you imagine he played a bit of football...?

Not for them he didn't.
They might have let him in the training ground every now and then though.
