Sad to read, have some fond memories of Greenwich Borough.
Used to watch the games a lot when I boxed for Eltham ABC, the gym was upstairs above the clubhouse on Eltham Green Road. What is now part of Kidbrooke Village.
Hope they sort things out, sounds like they've just withdrawn from the league and things aren't over just yet. But it's certainly not clear.
Spent a lot of time at the borough club growing up as a kid and through teen years in the 80s. played cricket for them, used to play snooker upstairs (before it was turned into the boxing gym) and also watched the football team.
Remember Ian Wright, David Whyte and Mark Gall playing. Brian Kinseys brother Billy used to be involved with the football section. some of the other people I can remember off the top of my head from the football section are Dougie Francis, Lou Slade, Freddie Wray, Phil Waghorn, Joey Hunt, Toddy Dowling , Micky Wakefield, John Dunning, Steve Kirby, Steve Knowles and Stevie Kember? havent seen some of them in years. A lot of those also played for Eltham Hill on a Sunday. was sad to see it demolished to make way for development but it was seriously run down in the latter years.
Presume Dougie Francis was related to Joe ? Toddy Downing was well known on the North Kent, Kent league circuit. "Apparently", Smokey loved the herbal stuff (not tea) around the dressing room. My mates who a lot on here would recognise from Charlton played for the Boro. Sad demise.
My dad was involved at the time of Pritchard, Borrowdale and McDonald when Gary Alexander was manager. Was a great time and they got promotion, set up a youth academy and lots of positive things.
Club changed ownership and they all left including my dad and other directors and owner.
Whole club changed thereafter and very sad to see what happened but am not surprised.
A side bar in the article led to this piece about most wanted .. 'Bartosz Szcypcznski is wanted in connection with drug and theft offences in Dartford.'
I wonder if he's a Kentish Man or a Man of Kent ((:>) .. whatever, that name would be some Scrabble score

Very sad - a club that has been around for years, but good luck in pulling the issues out of the content in the link above.

But then I read this;
” (Greenwich Borough) representing Greenwich as the borough's largest team.”
WTF Newshopper?
