There's a bloke that's currently driving a twenty-year-old TVR through 22 countries and 24k miles to get from the furthest north pub in the world to the furthest south pub. With an equally ancient Nissan Micra as a support car. Some of the places he's visited that he's posted up on Facebook have been really interesting. But he's also got a tracker fitted and you can see where he's got to here: https://pub2pubexpedition.com/track/ I find it strangely fascinating. (Although not at the moment as the car is back at Southampton waiting for a RoRo to the States!)

But I guess my interest in this aspect stems from liking the flight tracker apps and from wondering what some small Turkish freighter was doing tied up in the River Crouch. And finding out that there's a similar web site for tracking ships. vesselfinder.com

Flight tracker entertains me far more than it should a grown man. Thanks for the Vessel Finder link. I'll definitely check that out.

I give you www.sabre-roads.org.uk the website of the Society for All British and Irish Road Enthusiasts.

Just spent a happy few minutes browsing there. Will go back.

If you want some porno recommendations you only have to ask. No need for this charade!

If you like that, I think you will enjoy the NATS Airspace Explorer app for iPad.

When it comes to planes, and shit that happens to them, I go to the professional pilots forum, and the Rumours and News thread. Just don't be tempted to join in, though. They make Henry look like the sweetest, friendliest guy you will find at the Valley (which of course he is :-)). There are a couple of threads where we "Self Loading Freight" are welcome.

Another vote for vesselfinder. It's always interesting to see a ship out during a walk along the prom and within seconds find out what it is, where's it's been/going, etc.

It's amazing how long I can look at this just contemplating the complete and utter stupidity of it all.

Xhamster. Really good website I discovered about a family who trained a hamster to circus levels. However, the lovable pet was killed when their shed blew over and crushed it.

Apparently it was involved in a disgusting sex act at the time!

Not a website as such but sneak onto a colleagues PC and activate this extension on Google Chrome, if they us Chrome as their main browser. It replaces every single picture on any website to Nicolas Cage.

    It's called 'Ncage' - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/ncage?hl=en-GB

Haha, used this on a friend and watching their reaction and slow realisation that Nicholas Cage shouldn't be everywhere was priceless

How do you come up with the names for a particular piece, such as Mashed Potato Mountains (presumably Close Encounters reference)?
