Interesting programme currently on BBC Wales with Gareth Thomas investigating homophobia in British football.
It's embarrassing really to see how the sport (some players, some fans, governing bodies etc) are so far behind the drag curve when it comes to tolerance or even a modicum of intelligence about it. Under the current legislation (1991 Act) homophobic abuse in stadiums is not an offence (whereas racial abuse rightly is). That's shocking.
It's worth watching just alone to see him visit Taylor (and his E&D sidekick) at the PFA. Their cringeworthy and ignorant comments over the matter are priceless.
