I personally like the fact Jackson (coach/club captain) is in amongst the other players who are fighting for a first team place & right in the mix to push them onwards to achieve it.

If that's in reference to my comment, I've no issue at all with Jackson playing but it's been patently obvious for some time that he's no left back.
No not a comment against anybodies previous comments. I just think it's a smart move to have Jackson in the mix in games like this encouraging & leading by example for players on the fringe of the first team.
Has Maynard-Brewer jumped ahead of Beeney now. Anyone seen them both so can compare?
Seems it's been that way since pre-season. AMB didn't have much to do the couple times he played in Ireland but he looked very awkward with the ball at his feet. The couple times I saw Beeney play for the yoot he looked a decent prospect. Not sure if AMB is simply more highly rated or if Beeney is thought to have gone backward. Or perhaps Beeney is just being lined for for a season long loan.
Of course, if the game goes to penalties, we'll see the same ABBA format that they had in the Community Shield on Sunday - both sides will also be permitted a fourth substitute if it goes to extra-time.

But trust me, this is mostly filling a deep void in my psyche, it's really not something you should admire.
Enjoy the match.
Actually scrub that, we only go along with this nonsense if we discuss it.
