Toad in the hole

  • A - although it still needs Jamie Oliver's input.
  • I never thought that I would be providing comment on toad in the hole but A. It has more character
  • A. It's A.

Not sure B would be cooked all the way through.
  • A. Batter looks shitty on B, and what is a Toad in the Hole without decent batter?
  • This is almost as interesting as last night's transfer window.
I can't wait to see who wins
  • A. The sausage amount depends on the amount of those wishing to partake.
  • A would have walked it by a street, but Gregg Wallace shouted "you've got 60 seconds left" and he proper panicked at that point and it all went downhill. The correct answer i think is B, but it looks boring
  • I remember trying to explain to an american how good TitH is, and googled some pics. That's when I realised, it's really not a photogenic dish.
  • Lovely with a thick gravy, creamy mash potato and a big dollop of HP sauce.

Come on winter, let's be having you!
  • Is there a veggie option?

A cos the batter looks better

Yeah, Linda McCartney, very nice too, not linda, the sausages.

    No greens.tut tut.

Don't forget the fried onions, baked beans yum yum.
  • Makes me want to get on a plane and fly over. A & B look perfect to me.
  • A without a doubt. Better batter, the bangers have a good gloss on them and look like a superior quality to the dessicated Bs.
Sorry if yours was B, Leaburn...
  • B looks sad, A's a little bit of a mess.

On the whole, I'm not a fan of Toad-in-the-hole. I love Yorkshire / batter pudding and I'm more than partial to a decent banger, but I don't like them mixed.

Stop sitting on the fence, A or B, no abstentions allowed

Much better looking batter on A, B looks a bit under and needed to rise a bit more, oil and pan not hot enough. Still be happy to eat them both
  • Hate squelchy batter. It has to be A.
  • A. But needs a better sausage to batter ratio.
  • Hmm...A looks like the aftermath of a road accident but the batter looks much crispier than B. Option B has much more ordered sausages which does appeal to my mild OCD but...on the basis I greedily embarrass myself with both I'm going to call it a draw.

No help at all I'm aware...

Closest I've ever come to flagging anyone. Weirdo.

    Eat round the sausages! ;)

I did give my vote, it's just up to each of you to interpret it in your own way.
  • TBF, they both look rubbish

    This.

    But B, better ratios.
  • Wife went for B.
  • The only positive thing to say about either is the batter on A looks 8/10, sausages are over cooked though.

I'd be embarrassed to say I cooked B.
  • A by a mile for the batter.

    Good onion gravy also vital.

    Quality of sausages main thing.

And this person knows what they are talking about :+1:
