I have just registered for Sunday and there are only three of us so far, 2 x administrators and me???
thought I was in......
You need to register for the tournament so do the following:
Open Pokerstars Click on the home games tab on the right hand side. You will see the Charlton Life poker club if Sadie has accepted you. Click on the tournament showing as 20.30 Sunday 24th Click on the green "register for tournament" button. If done correctly your name will be added to the list of registered players.
A little hand break down that I played live the other day.
I had K-9
Flop was K-9-9
Turn was an A
River was a 9
The other guy went all-in and turned over Kings.
Absolutely brutal for him.
This is so sick but wtf were you doing in the hand with K9 in the first place?!
Depends how the action went, cant really comment without knowing stack/pre flop actions lol
I played local game in workmans club last night first time was ok £15 rebuy/add on max 3 rebuys. only 7 of us, with 3 left i was joint CL with other person who was ok player as played with him before at eltham poker club, he asked for deal and split 3 ways even though other person had probably 1/4 chips we did. I accepted as they all mates and didnt want to seem like a dick, normally in a club/casino i will never deal. Still £30 spent , £80 return not a bad little return for a Thursday eve.
I did go Westfield on Monday with a mate, came 8th out of about 30+ top 6 got paid , played ok seem to get the bug where i play alot and dont play for a while. My mate came 2nd on Monday so that was good.
An okay player down there?!
Eltham Terrace Club is like printing money if you 1) have the bankroll and 2) play basically straight down the line ABC poker, particularly on the cash tables.
My strike rate at the tourneys there is very good when I go (which isn't often) - once had six consecutive cashes (two wins and two 2nd places). If you're sensible then there's a lot of money to be made!
You will know the player, he is difficult to play against. Loser long term but wins occasionally and is very unpredictable and aggro, but in the circs and was too my left so had to adjust slightly. Still reckon i would beat him most the time (if luck was even, over a long period) , Terry Ho? he mainly plays Sundays though when do you? i've played probably 6-7 times agree standard is pretty low but have been unlucky, i did come 2nd one of those times but its a good little tourney. Might have even seen me before just not known who i am? i do look older than 30 lol
Can you see the club lobby if you search for tourny #2044362665 @oohaahmortimer ? I can't see you in the list of newly registered players yet but Sadie will do this before Sunday.

Terry hahaha yeah, complete aggro fish like most of them tbh - can't say I've tangled with him too often though. I cut my teeth with guys like this or who've taken down the Bristol Masters (200+20, around 10k up top usually), and the adjustment is horrible. I remember watching someone tank fold like fourth nut flush on something like a KK993 board (standard snap fold) - but be wrong as the guy had QQ or some other ludicrous rubbish down there.
When I've played it's been Fridays mainly - the occasional Sunday if I bink a seat or whatever, but the Friday prize pool is best value by a long long way. And given the players on Fridays generally aren't as strong, you can sit back, build a healthy stack and then really get going with a thinner field and a chip lead.
May well have run into you, there's another occasional Addick called Vito who goes every so often, and one of the dealers is a Charlton fan (Arnold).

Yep he is aggro, would prefer if i was in position but it wasn't anything i couldn't play against just made me a bit more solid then normal :P
I have been to a few Skypoker tours , Nottingham and gone far against some really good players. Actually played omaha with someone called lil dave who used to play for lots over in vegas, still does. just got roped in and ended up blinding for half hour of a side event as i was having too much fun surprisingly held my own but was a very friendly game.
I do agree, Sundays always easiest as my mate goes Danny V (guy with glasses) only know a few faces but as Terry Ho lives down road from me and runs local chinese i know him. Good bunch of people, not done a friday there, used to play reigate/ big slick fridays quite regularly.
