Most of you will be aware of the six degrees of separation theory:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_degrees_of_separationand the Kevin Bacon film game it inspired:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Six_Degrees_of_Kevin_BaconThis game is similar, but based on footballers. The rules are simple - link two named footballers through players who played for the same team at the same time (players who played for the same team but at different times, opponents, 'managed by', owners etc do not count) in as few links as possible.
Please the 'link' teams as well as the players.
For example, Kevin Lisbie to Paolo Maldini could go:
Kevin Lisbie
CharltonMark Fish
LazioAlessandro Nesta
AC MilanPaolo Maldini
Once you have completed a link and given your answer, please post another.

Oguchi Onyewu at Milan with Ronaldinho
So if coaching counts, I could go Ronaldinho to Messi to Maradona's brilliant stint in charge of Argentina
If not:
Ronaldinho at Milan with Paolo Maldini
Paolo Maldini at Milan with Paolo Rossi
Paolo Rossi Italy with Salvatore Bagni
Bagni at Napoli with El Diego

Don't need Marshall but Mills/Goodman/Smith/Bartram/Hewie/Peacock works.
I'll give it a think though.
