If KAG isn't good enough he won't play. If so Konsa will start in CM and push JFC on the left. He has a great left peg.
But the whole point is KAG will play because our squad is so poor. In my opinion he is not good enough to be in the first team squad. When was the last time he scored? JFC won't be played wide because he hasn't got the pace. Jackson has got a good left foot, it is not enough.
I also have doubts about KAG but expect him to be used on the right which might just work today. Dickplum is right about the unbalanced squad and its thin nature. I would have Hanlan ahead of Dodoo all day long.

JFC could be pushed into the number 10 and Clarke pushed out wide. Or even Konsa could be used in the 10, allowing him to use his range, athleticism, and ability on the ball. I suspect if Konsa is brought in to the middle we'll be a little more 4-1-4-1, giving both him and JFC some freedom to roam.
I also have huge doubts about KAG, especially from the start of a game. But I'm hoping he's had a week to train in the first team, that he'll know his role, and that something will come off for him early doors that gives him confidence. He's not a terrible player, he's got more ability than I thought he did when he first broke through. But he's clearly a confidence player with a lacking end product. But if something breaks for him, he could get his head up and be a real threat.

No offence SD but dont feel Konsa will ever develop into a CAM, or even a box to box player. could play a holding roll or CDM though

My point is if he is as bad as some are saying Robbo won't pick him. Think he has a couple of assists.
Tough one to predict. During the first 30 mins at Oldham we looked brilliant. Since then our bubble has burst somewhat. We're clearly vulnerable when pressed hard, or when up against a big strong pair up front. With any luck at all we would have beaten Gillingham and be 3rd. How that defeat affects confidence will be key. We've also been unlucky in that our two key signings have been unavailable for so long. Generally are squad is a bit thin, arguably like most teams in div one. But most teams don't have the wealthy ownership we 'enjoy'.
I think this might be a breakthrough game for KAG. Less so for Dodoo, unfortunately. Hope I'm wrong about the latter.

I agree it's not natural for him, but look at what he did coming off the bench against Northampton. He was played in that 10 role, albeit deeper than, say, Clarke would play, and he did very well. Obviously there's the important caveat that he came on with like 15 minutes to go, but in that he showed the athleticism to go box-to-box at least--he got an assist and should have had a penalty.
I don't think he quite has the positional discipline to play as a true holding midfielder. Even going back to when he would play for the youth teams in midfield, from what I saw (admittedly less than many on here) he had more freedom to roam, with Sam Bone playing in that #4 role.
That's just my thinking here. He's a player who I think can do a job in a lot of different positions, though I certainly take your point.

That we lost can be put down to luck...or maybe our tactics and squad management weren't as good as they should be
Think we'll be ok, 2-0 Charlton

2-1 JFC andddd Pat.
Was gonna go up and say “are you here for the Bury game or still on the piss from Huddersfield at home?”
The Bury staff seemed like absoulte wankers if I’m honest
