Westernhanger Castle is a stunning venue.

Depending on what you're looking for... there's also Cooling Castle which is very popular.

If you're after a hotel, I can thoroughly recommend Hadlow Manor, have shot a few weddings there now, beautiful gardens and the added bonus of it being a hotel so there are a lot of rooms for your quests.  The location is lovely and there are some stunning backdrops around the property.

West Heath School in Sevenoaks is a stunning venue too.

If you want something in London, Queen Mary University of London is now a registered wedding venue.  They've got a great set up and the large Octagon library is turned into a stunning dining room and then a dance floor afterwards.  I'm shooting a wedding there in a couple of weeks.  More details here: https://www.qmweddings.co.uk/.

I guess I should mentioned Camden Place in Chislehurst at Chislehurst Golf Club, where I'm one of the recommended photographers too.

@ValleyGary - if you ever want to chat, just send me a PM...

Thanks for the recommendations John, i will pass these on to the boss!

We are viewing the Orangery in Maidstone this Sunday as well, which looks beautiful but very much relies on good weather.

Sadly no, not as a photographer or guest.  Thats a real showpiece venue from what I've seen in pictures though.

Yeah, if we can stretch the budget then its one of our preferred venues.

A friend got married at Wotton House in Surrey last weekend. Probably the nicest outdoor wedding setting I've seen.

My youngest got married at Judd's Folly at Faversham. Has rooms for guests and was quite reasonably priced 2 years ago.

Have we mentioned Mount Ephraim Gardens ?

No idea how much their weddings are but it's really delightful and not pretentious or knobby.

The Marine is sound, depends what you are after in terms of numbers, catering etc but The Plough in Swalecliffe has a good function room and large car park, pretty good value from what I've heard, Boughton Golf Club as a larger venue good too.
I know the new landlady in there
Mel is sound, restaurant reopened yesterday, place seems to be going well, from what I've seen this week they've done a great job.

So anyone getting married is sorted for:

    Hair and make up
    photography
    Videography

Just need caterers / toastmasters / DJ's / wedding bands to step forward and can get a proper Charlton Life wedding.

My family (Grandparents now Parents) have owned time shares in one of the Villas there for well over 20 years now and go for a week at the end of August...

Golf Course is one I'll always love going back to with my Dad each year, yet know there are endless legal disputes between the Villa owners and the previois owners, the latter basically want bring everything within the estate under one roof - Its recently changed again (Chinese money I think) who are going to try to buy everyone out rather than relying on the courts

Unfortunately isnt the venue I remember from being a child when it had the riding lessons and outside swimming pool but just one of those places I love to go because of my childhood - Always loved running around the grounds where the wedding ceremonies usually are, and would have loved getting married there myself but the unpredictability of the English weather ultimately put me off
