Lenny, It was Acker Bilk and his Jazzmen, funny I found an LP of his in my loft when I cleared it out. Was brought up on Trad jazz in the fifties, still enjoy listening to stranger on the shore played on Ackers liquorice stick man. It was the late 50’s and early 60’s when they were at their peak, just as the Beatles and the Stones etc were breaking through.
My mother-in-law is welcome any time as long as she doesn’t want to help with the decorating. If she wants some music, any three traditional Irish songs will do.
